Antoinette Mahan-Wood

Director of Quality Assurance

Antoinett Mahan-WoodAntionett Mahan-Wood is the Director of Quality Assurance for Volunteers of America Delaware Valley. She began her tenure with the organization in 2003 as Operations Coordinator for the Community Corrections division. Due to her skill in quality management, she was promoted through the agency to oversee and establish quality and reliability standards by enforcing quality assurance policies and procedures and accreditation processes. Antionett also leads the organization as the Chairperson of the Continuous Quality Improvement Committee. Antionett received her Bachelors of Arts degree from Rutgers University and in 2006, Antionett became a commissioned minister with Volunteers of America.

Antionett’s work extends beyond the office. She prides herself in being a servant leader in the community and dedicates her spare time to mentoring homeless and court-involved youth in the city of Camden, New Jersey. Antionett is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and the Urban League of Philadelphia.

Antionett is a native of South Jersey where she resides with her husband Bill.  Her brightest and biggest accomplishment to date is being the mother of her two children, Joseph and Jordan. Antionett models her life of service after a quote from the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.: “Everybody can be great...because anybody can serve.  You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and verb agree to serve.  You only need a heart full of grace.  A soul generated by love.”
