Antoinette Mahan-Wood

Director of Quality Assurance

Antionett Mahan-Wood is the Director of Quality Assurance for Volunteers of America Delaware Valley.

Antionett began working for the agency in 2003 as Operations Coordinator for the Community Corrections Division. Due to her skills in quality management, she was promoted to establish and oversee quality and reliability standards by enforcing policies, procedures and accreditation processes.

She also serves as the Chairperson of the agency’s Continuous Quality Improvement Committee.

Antionett earned a B.A. from Rutgers University. In 2006, she became a commissioned minister with Volunteer of America.

Antionett’s work extends beyond the office. She prides herself on being a servant leader in the community and dedicates her spare time to mentoring homeless and court-involved youth in Camden, NJ. Antionett is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and the Urban League of Philadelphia.

Antionett is a native of South Jersey, where she resides. Her brightest and biggest accomplishment to date is being the mother of her two children, Joseph and Jordan.

Antionett models her life of service after a quote from the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., "Everybody can be great...because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love."
