Daniel L. Lombardo

Daniel L. Lombardo is the President and CEO of Volunteers of America Delaware Valley.  Dan has served as the Regional Vice President of the International Community Corrections Association (ICCA) and was Co-Chair and Host Agency for the first ICCA "What Works in Community Corrections."

Dan Lombardo was former Chair of the Volunteer Services Committee and a member of the Community Corrections and Exemplary Practices Committees for the American Correctional Association; Chair of the Community Corrections Committee for the International Corrections and Prisons Association, and serves as the Vice Chair for North America for the International Corrections and Prisons Association, and Chair of the Assessment Sub-Committee of the International Association of Reentry; received a Gubernatorial appointment to the New Jersey Sentencing Policy Commission;

Dan was appointed by the Mayor of Philadelphia to the Mayor's Task Force on Management and Productivity to review the City's Office of Human Development; and was picked by the Governor of New Jersey to serve as a member of the New Jersey Family Development Advisory Board and the New Jersey Parole Advisory Board, and served as Chair of the Parole Advisory Board.

Dan was appointed by Governor Jon S. Corzine to the New Jersey Corrections Transition Team and was appointed to serve on a seven-member task force to review and recommend candidates for the position of Commissioner of Corrections. Recently, Dan was appointed to the Government Efficiency and Reform Commission and serves as a member of the Corrections Task Force.

Dan volunteers his time to serve as a Board Member on several community-based organizations. He has authored numerous articles and has been the recipient of numerous awards for his work in Corrections & Human Services.
