Gina Williams Deas

Chief Operating Officer

Williams DeasGina Williams Deas is a Chief Operating Officer for Volunteers of America Delaware Valley.  She began her tenure with the organization in 1998 as a Program Director and due to her skills as a manager and as a mentor, she has rapidly moved up the ranks within the organization.  She is responsible for an array of programs, ranging from homeless shelters and prevention programs to a variety of affordable housing programs, including senior housing. Before joining Volunteer of America, Gina held various positions with human service organizations in St. Louis, MO and in Philadelphia, PA.

Gina is a graduate of Boston University.  She received her Master's degree from Thomas Edison State College.  In 1999, Gina became a commissioned minister with Volunteer of America.  In 2007, Gina was elected by her peers to serve on Volunteers of America's National Ecclesiastical Committee.  This body provides governance over the ministerial affairs of the organization.  She also currently serves on the Board of Stewards at her church, Faith Covenant Fellowship in Burlington, New Jersey.

Gina is very active in various activities across the state of New Jersey, bringing attention to homelessness, hunger and poverty.  In 2003, Gina was appointed to the Governor's Policy Academy on Ending Chronic Homelessness.  Since 2004, Gina continues to serve as chairperson to the Governor's appointed Hunger Prevention Advisory Committee.  Gina is also an active member of the New Jersey Alliance for the Homeless.

Gina is passionate about helping others reach their potential.  Servant leadership is a model she strives to exemplify.  Gina is a native of South Jersey where she continues to live with her husband and three children.
