Jane Mwangi-Williams

Vice President of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities

Jane Mwangi-Williams is Vice President of the Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities Division of Volunteers of America Delaware Valley.

 

 

She began her career with the agency in April, 2003 as a Program Director for OMR in Developmental Disabilities. Shortly thereafter, she was promoted to MR Division Director.  In 2007, she served for a brief period as the division’s Regional Director before being promoted to her current position.  

 

 

As the Vice President of the Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities Division, Jane provides leadership to ensure program integrity and is responsible for the performance of all facilities and programs within the Pennsylvania BH/DD Region.  This includes the development and implementation of program policies and procedures, with emphasis on the areas of long range planning, program development, program monitoring, and evaluation.

 

 

Jane began her career in human services in 1996 as a residential counselor and has worked in various capacities for three other MR residential providers in the city of Philadelphia.  She holds a Bachelors of Education degree from Moi University in Eldoret Kenya and a post-graduate Diploma in Planning and Management of community programs from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa.

 

 

Jane is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Human Resource Management at Holy Family University in Philadelphia.
