SANOFI-AVENTIS U.S.: AN ENDURING COMMITMENT TO AGAPE HOUSE

The global pharmaceutical firm sanofi-aventis U.S. acts locally all year round on behalf of the families at our Agape House in Somerville, NJ.

Employees of the Bridgewater NJ offices of sanofi have long had a commitment to Agape, donating their dollars and their time, according to Joyce Osanyinlusi, family case manager. “They do it all,” she said.

For example, sanofi-Aventis U.S. “fed the whole house” at Thanksgiving, providing a full dinner with all the trimmings for 50-plus people, including 25 children. It’s a similar story at Christmas time.

At other times of the year, a backyard barbecue and a trip to Dorney Park have been  among the activities made possible by the generosity of the company and its employees. The volunteers have cleaned and painted the interior of the facility, including the Child Enrichment Center, and improved the landscaping around the buildings. Computers for every section of the house, gift baskets and homemade goodies are just some of the other contributions by the sanofi-aventis U.S. folks.

“Sometimes individual employees will call and say, ‘this is what I would like to do,’” Osanyinlusi said. “I love them. It means a whole lot. It really touches me that they’re so steady in their commitment.  I don’t know what to say. Except, ‘thank you!’”
